Back and better than ever, Run Gatwick returns with an exciting new look and a completely revamped 13.1-mile closed-road route like no other.  Starting from the vibrant Crawley town centre, this exciting, aviation-themed event features a scenic and fairly flat route right under the Gatwick flight paths – ideal for first-timers and PB chasers alike.  

The improved route is designed to keep you motivated every step of the way.  With buzzing crowd support, all the convenience of great town centre facilities, excellent public transport links, and ample parking, this is our best Run Gatwick edition yet!

An additional town centre 5k fully closed road race, a mile closed road mile race and the buzzing event village that you expect from Run Gatwick complete the line up for this unique event.

ROUTE

The Half Marathon route is fast and flat on closed roads from Crawley town centre up to and around the airport, right under the flight paths. The route returns via Manor Royal to the finish on Southgate Avenue with lots of crowd support. The 5k route is on closed roads through Crawley town centre, fast and flat and with an exciting atmosphere – don’t miss your chance to take part in this unique event!

There are also plenty of great viewing spots along the course where you can soak up the atmosphere and show your support. So bring your signs, whistles, and cheers, and head to one of our exciting Cheer Points to help power the runners through!

HOW DO I GET THERE?

All Run Gatwick 2026 events start and finish in Southgate Park, Crawley RH10 1UZ

We encourage walking, cycling and car sharing where possible. There is a Bike Park within the Event Village, please bring your own locks, etc.

Crawley is accessible by train to nearby Crawley and Three Bridges railway stations and by a variety of bus routes, so please ensure you plan ahead.

There will be various public car parks available if you are driving, details of which will be pubsliuhed closer to event day.

HOW DO I GET MY RACE NUMBER?

Race Packs will be available for collection only. Collection details will be provided closer to the event

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY?

We operates a no refunds policy.
 
 If you cannot attend and notify us at least 14 days prior to the event, you may:
– Transfer your entry to another person.

– Transfer to another Run series/RunThrough event.
– Receive store credit for future events.
 
£5 admin fee applies for changes unless a Flexi Package was purchased, which allows unlimited changes up to 24 hours before the event.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE THE RACE?

No, there is no time limit to complete the races and have your finish time recorded. However, please note that 3 hours after the start of the race our marshals will be stood down and normal rules of the road will apply. Bear in mind that you will have to walk and run along roads, many of which do not have pavements. All runners are encouraged to continue running and every finisher will be chip timed. Any runner still on route will also be given the option of a lift back to the start / finish site if they’re unable to complete the distance.

WILL THERE BE PACERS?

Yes! We will have our expert Xempo pacers covering the following Half Marathon times: 1.30, 1,40, 1,45, 1.50, 2.00, 2.10, 2.15, 2.20 and 2.30

ARE WHEELCHAIR ENTRIES AVAILABLE?
YES! We have always had wheelchair athletes at our events, please just advise us of this when you register.
ARE PUSHCHAIRS / DOGS ALLOWED?
As we are an England Athletics licensed event, there are very strict rules around the use of buggies and pushchairs. Please contact us to get the latest advice from us. Please do not enter if you intend to run with a pushchair without consulting with us first.

Dogs, no sorry, we do love them but please leave your furry friends at home. Guide dogs are an exception, obviously.

DO YOU HAVE A BAG DROP?
A free (open air) bag drop is available for all participants, please see your runner number for how to make use of this.
WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT VILLAGE OPEN/CLOSE?

The Event Village will be open from 07.30am

WILL THERE BE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE?

There will be three water stations on the half marathon route. Additional water will be available to every runner at the finish line.  Through our partnership with SES Water we will be using paper cups and once again eliminating thousands of single use plastic water bottles. All water will come exactly as it does at home, from a tap! If you prefer to drink from a bottle please bring one along as bottled water will not be available.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE?

Under England Athletics guidelines, the minimum ages to participate are as follows:

5k – 11 years and over
